Why You Should Love The Impossible

Why You Should Love The Impossible

Please, tell me it is impossible!! I would love to know why you think it is impossible!!

Have you ever had that conversation where someone is giving you “advice,” but it sounds more like a lecture? They keep using the phrases like:

  • “you should…”
  • “you would be wise…”
  • “it’s just my opinion, but…”
  • “I’m doing this out of love…”

I hate to break it to you, but if you ever take an adventure, a risk, or a leap again, you will be flooded with so called advice.

Don’t get knocked down by this though. Instead, use it. People do not know your plans, your purpose, and your destination, so how could they give you sound advice? That is okay. Let them think it is impossible because it is to them.

What is impossible to them is possible to you. Impossibility is a great thing. If risks weren’t impossible, then everyone would be jumping in line to go on the adventure. Let them believe in the impossibility as you keep pushing on in the possibility.

Life is too short and has too many obstacles to get stuck on someone else’s interpretation for your life. Whether it is a loved one, family member, or friend, the only advice you should be holding close to your heart and your plans are the relationships you invest into. The people that know your plans and you. Give them full access and the right to speak truth into your life. These are the wise words you want to listen to. If they say it is impossible, ask them why. Hear their words and process the good advice. Only then can you determine if the wisdom is sound or not.

Do not worry anymore about those who are naysayers. They have nothing better to do than try to make sure you are living the life they think is possible. No problem, you are not living up to their possibility, but the possibility that you believe in.

Go ahead, tackle the impossible dreams. As long as they are someone else’s impossibility and not yours.
